US5(3.25mm) Double pointed needles, set of 4
Aran or heavy worsted yarn, 1 skein
• You have options here! For the sample above, we held two yarns together [The Fibre Co Cumbria in Scafell Pike (worsted, 236yd/100g) and Daruma Wool Mohair in Grey (worsted, 125yd/50g) utilizing about 1/2 of each ball]. See note on gauge below.
• You may also choose to make a two color lamb, with dark limbs and a light body.

You want a rather tight gauge when making toys, so your stuffing doesn’t show through any gaps.
9 stitches x 14 rows = 2” in stockinette
